Rockstar & Elise is Emily AF. A musician and professional audio engineer her whole life, Emily found a new voice after coming out as Transgender in 2022. Her musical influences are vast, growing up in a Bluegrass household, and coming of age in the early 1990s with Skinny Puppy and The Cure. As a live sound engineer, her favorite music to work in is traditional Scottish and Irish folk. She steadfastly believes that a banjo and dobro can make any genre of music better. A fairly quiet person, when not spending time with her wife and three cats, she’s likely to be in her home production space, “Too Dark Studios”.
